Joshua Tree Residency Grant

Recognizing the power of solitude and time to work the Davyd Whaley Foundation offers a one-week residency in Joshua Tree for educators to specifically focus on making art.


Description:
One grant of $5,000, to be awarded to working artists in the Los Angeles area who can provide evidence of a promising career that can be significantly supported by this financial assistance. Award also includes an exhibition opportunity with other DWFnd awardees.


Criteria:
Applicants applying to either the Emerging Artist Grant or the Teaching Artist Grant are eligible for this award, should they not receive one of the monetary awards. Artists wishing to be considered should provide a brief paragraph outlining how they would utilize the time to support and grow their creative practice.
